Manuscripts submitted for publication to the Turkish Journal of Archaeological Sciences are first evaluated by the editorial board in terms of their compatibility with the aims and scope of the journal. In the second step, the manuscripts are sent to two referees designated by the scientific board with a reviewing form for the blind peer-reviewing process.
The peer-reviewed manuscripts are then sent to the authors for possible corrections. After the re-submission of the corrected manuscript, the referees are again consulted. In the final step, the editorial board checks and corrects the manuscripts’ compatibility with the journal’s guidelines if necessary.
The Turkish Journal of Archaeological Sciences publishes articles in Turkish and English. The principal language is Turkish so that the journal can effectively contribute to debates needed to establish specialist scientific terminologies in the Turkish language. Due to the international nature of scientific collaboration in Turkey, articles written in English are also welcome.
